first_imgThere are a number of horror stories that come along with a rigorous tour schedule, as any established band will tell you. It’s something all up-and-coming bands must go through in order to “make it” to a point of respect, almost like a fraternity/sorority’s “rush” to becoming part of the music industry’s universe. Sometimes that means getting stuck in stand-still traffic on the side of the highway in the middle of North Carolina on Mother’s Day. What else to do, but to break out the drum kit and put on a show? The Main Squeeze, Spafford, Aqueous, And More To Play First Ever Canyon Jam At The MishawakaThat’s the direction The Main Squeeze were heading until the cars finally started to move. Drummer Reuben Gingrich delivered the commuters who were also stranded on the highway with just over a minute of rock solace. Watch the impromptu pop-up jam below:The Main Squeeze recently released their fourth studio effort, Without A Sound. The album serves as a musical snapshot for the band, capturing their experience of relocating from The Windy City to the City of Angels. Listen to the album here.Coincidentally, it’s also Reuben’s birthday today AND he just released his debut solo album Blue Island. You can purchase it here, and stream it below:The Main Squeeze are just over half way through with their tour, heading toward Washington, DC on May 17th, then making their way up the east coast.
